Grandma goes joyriding!
Grandma doesn't drive. I am not sure why... well, I think it is because she panics a lot and gets lost, not to mention she doesn't have a lisence. But... sometimes she gets a wild hair and steals the car. It happened once a few years ago and the cops brought her home. That is a story for another day.
This time, just a few weeks back, she got permission from Grandpa to drive the car around the parking lot of their apartment two times. She was pretty excited. She loaded her dog into the car, and they were off. Grandpa said he started to worry after about 5 minutes when she wasn't back. Grandma said that she started driving and, "IT JUST FELT SO GOOD SO I KEPT GOING!"
About an hour later Grandpa called my Mom who rushed over. They called hospitals thinking she may have been in an accident (she has had some accidents in her day) and called the police. Nothing. Grandpa was so scared that he was shaking. He said the he was so worried about her. Him and my Mom were both so upset.
In the meantime, Grandma is cruising the streets of Centerville lost as can be. She said that she started to panic, and so did her dog Molly because she could tell that Grandma was panicked. Finally, she asked a boy walking down the street how to get home, and he showed her the way. She was just about a half block from home.
She walked through the door about an hour and a half after she set out on her adventure. Grandpa was so happy to see her. My Mom yelled at her. The next day my Mom called and said that it was actually kind of funny now that she thinks about it.
Grandma said that next time she gets to drive she is just going to go to WalMart or somewhere that is a straight shot. Grandpa said that she put 21 miles on the car. So she was going about 10mph around Centerville for an hour and a half. Grandma giggled the whole time that she told us the story. So did we.
And no, the cops didn't give her a ticket.

Coren at the beach
Coren loved the water, hated the sand on his hands. It was pretty funny because every time he got even one piece of sand on his hands he would go and dip them in the water and then walk around with his hands out so that they wouldn't get dirty again.
Carson at the beach.
(Me laughing and Carson pissed after we got soaked by a wave)
Carson was a little bit worried about the waves when we first got to the beach. He agreed to wear his life jacket no problem. We all went out into the ocean to play. Steve had Carson and they were doing great. For some reason I traded Steve Carson for Coren and just as I got him a HUGE wave came and broke right on top of us. There was nothing I could do. We both got soaked. Carson was so mad at me and cried. We took a break from the waves and played in the sand. Before I knew it he was out
playing in the water again and having a great time. He now loves the beach, no thanks to me!
Kenna at the beach
The beach was Makenna's favorite place to be. She loved it there. I didn't get many pictures of her because she spent most of her time out with Steve where I couldn't see them. They loved getting as far out as they could and playing in the waves.
When we got there I told her that she had to wear her life jacket. She was so mad. She refused. I told her that she would probably die, but to have fun. Lucky for her she lived and avoided getting eaten by a shark.

Tennis
The Resort that we stayed at had tons of tennis courts. The kids loved playing tennis, with the exception of Coren who liked to chase the balls around, climb the fences, and take pictures of us playing tennis. We played boys against girls, and then some one on one matches. It was lots of fun, and everyone played really good.
